Wallypop Produce BagsSo, do you feel a little odd putting your produce into plastic bags, and carrying it home in your fabric, reusable grocery totes? I know I did, so I started making these nifty little produce bags. Now, I know that produce bags aren't all that innovative any more. Towards early 2008, when I started using mine, they were much less common. But I wanted to make sure that these were durable before I started selling them, so our family used them regularly for, well, about a year and a half. Our original bags are still holding up well, with no holes or tears, so I feel confident about offering them here to you. The bags are, of course, washable. They're light as a feather - less than half an ounce, and less if you don't want the cord-lock. (Most of our family's bags are cord-lock-less: we just tie them shut.) And they're reusable, instead of disposable like the plastic baggies at the store. By request, I now offer two types of produce bags. One is made of mesh - they're obviously better suited for produce and NOT bulk bin items. The other is made of unbleached muslin, and could be used for both produce and bulk bin items. Mesh bags currently available in white or purple: Mesh bags are currently sold out. I anticipate restocking mid-December.
